I am the mother of a first grader. Ella starts kindergarten next week, but Alex starts today. *sigh*

My oldest starts at RIT this week..aghh!
I was tearing apart yard sale gadgets
with her just a while ago, skipping stones
at Deveraux Beach, riding the horse swings. Still, this is a thrill, too.

How is it that kids seem to grow up, older, and eventually leave the nest, and we (a.k.a. kids at heart) seem not to? I'm proud of Alex and Ella, and their magnificent mom Jan.
