It’s NaPoWriMo Time (Almost)!

We’re under the two-week window for National Poetry Month, which means National Poetry Writing Month, or NaPoWriMo, is coming up fast. Are you planning to write a poem a day? Are you ready to flex your poetry muscles? Whether you’re keeping pace in a writing group or going solo, let us know your April plans.

Personally, I will be writing a poem a day. Yikes!

Ok...if it is going to force me to write daily...I'm all for it.

No guarantee of the quality however but let's hope for a gem or two amongst the coal.

I say go for it. At the end you'll have 30 mostly bad poems, but a few that you might revise.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hmm. I'm planning to start the next round of Novel in 90 on the 1st of April, but I suppose a month of haiku or something wouldn't kill me... XD Is there a central page for NaPoWriMo or do I just go for it?

Good question, J. I'll look around and see who's hosting a page.

Glad you're participating while writing a novel. Cool.

Oh, man oh man. I did it last year and it was tough. I said then, not this year...but...

oh yes! i'm doing it. of course, there will be the days when it is harder than getting a two-year-old to stop a tantrum, but i will persevere...i'm actually kind of looking forward to it.

I'll be working on my novel, but I'm going to participate in National Poetry Month by reading a poem every day and sharing it with someone--either by posting it on my door at work, or emailing one to a friend, or sending them via (gasp) snail mail!

Looking forward to it!

That's a great way to share poetry, Erin. Hmmmm. Maybe I'll send out poems in e-mail for NPM.

Kristi, you're on the hook. At the very least, maybe you'll support a literary event in your neighborhood.

Yay Jilly!

J, looks like Read Write Poem will do something for National Poetry Month--Deb and I are putting something together.

Ananda, it is a great way to finish a collection--that's what I did last year, and I'll work on another collection in April.
I'll be writing and posting haiga every day. I was looking for a button but didn't find what I wanted. I wonder if you've found any?
