Right on--this is my tagline, too! When I was a kid in the spring of '68 and saw Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy killed within the span of a few weeks, I figured we were all pretty screwed and became completely cynical about politics--until Barack Obama woke me up. Now, as I've joined the Democratic Party in Oklahoma and become involved in politics (in a Very Red State), I see people around me become fearful and angry and vindictive and blustery, and I'm reminded of this skit and from the President's own political history in Illinois that he really is defining a new way to get things done--and me? I choose Cool!
