Best New Poets

Meridian magazine (UVa) is running an Open Internet Competition for its Best New Poets anthology. Last year, they selected 24 out of 50 poems from the Open Competition; the rest came from lit mag recommendations. To date, they have more than 600 entries.

$8 reading fee for 2 poems. Contest ends tomorrow, June 15.

Yes, I submitted for the heck of it. I need to have poems out there working for me. And, I would be flattered to be considered a Best New Poet.
