Donald Hall, New Poet Laureate

This has been a long time in the making:

Donald Hall Named Nation's Poet Laureate.

I wonder if the Laureate committee knew I was available to take the post!

Hey, maybe now Netflix will get the Donald Hall and Jane Kenyon documentary I've been wanting to watch!

It seems strange that someone who knew nothing about poetry (meaning me) even 6 mos. ago now "knows" who the new Poet Laureate is. And I think he's incredible!

That's awesome! And that's the value I see in blogging. Six months ago I didn't think my writing was any good, and I thought the literary community was out to lunch.

And now, I'm talking about poetry with an incredible photographer and writer.
