Love the poem! The recording sounds great for being made on your iPhone. Yes, definitely do more of these. It's very cool to hear you reading your work.

Thanks, everyone for the kind words.

And yes, Kay, you did hear the kids calling out from another room.

Poet Mom -

You say your life is like a leaky roof, a broken water heater, and a foundation crack. You are not sure if it’s in need of repair – or complete replacement. What if you found out that the leak in the roof was more like a huge hole, or that the foundation wasn’t really cracked but more like crumbled – would repair even be an option? What if that one star that shines so bright in the sky every night was really meant to shine for you, to shine on your world, giving light to everything around you – making it possible for you to finally see what’s really going on – I ask again would repair even be an option? Sometimes we get so involved in our day to day, that we lose sight of reality. Sometimes we just don’t want to admit that our perfect little bubble is really not so perfect after all. It’s simple Poet Mom, open you eyes and absorb your surroundings – if it doesn’t all add up or make sense, then there is probably more you should know. Ask the questions and demand the truth – move forward from there because the truth does set us free.

I'm not sure if we're still talking about me.

The sound of your kids completely fit the "Mommy" theme of the poem. Love it!
