Cornerstone Books
3 p.m.
Salem, MA
Stop in and say hello!

Spent last night reading poems for a grant application, some recently written (November poems), and slightly older piece from manuscript #2. I have enough distance from the lot where I don't hate my writing and I'm not in love with my work--guess that means I'm ready to revise somewhat objectively.

Erin Dionne has an interview on her blog ahead of the release of her second young adult novel, The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet. From her post:
" ... if you think that once you get one book published, everything is easy and the words float from your fingertips in perfect paragraphs, you are so wrong. The only thing finishing one book does is teach you that you can finish another."
So, so true!

Hey J,
Great article! Thanks for having me on your nightstand (um, I mean my book). ;-)
Thanks Kelli!
It's true. Small Knots is on my night stand. It's a lovely collection. Can't wait to add your second book to my stack of bedside reading.
